Description Candidates with 2-4 Yrs. experience in US Healthcare (RCM) medical coding. Experience in E/M (IP/OP), ASC surgery specialties preferred. Experience in medical coding & good knowledge about RCM model. Experience in specialty (Surgery/EM) Should have good exposure to ICD10 and CPT. Exposure on coding for at least 2 years on ICD,CPT,Denials. Identify and abstract records consistently and accurately assign ICD-10 and/or CPT, Path codes Comprehensive understanding of coding guidelines, Coding Clinics, and appropriate coding references along with the ability to employ these coding resources to audit findings. Initiate physician queries for clarification of documentation in the medical record to achieve accurate code assignment and coding integrity. Assign and sequence all codes for services rendered- ICD-10CM, CPT & E&M IP. Knowledge of ASC coding especially Gastroenterology surgery coding is an added advantage. Should be able to disseminate client/coding updates to the team in an individualistic and understandable manner/Should be able to identify lacking areas and training should be conducted independently to the team.
