The application of these tasks may vary, based upon current and evolving business needs.Service Management Maintain application uptime/performance and lead a support team in resolving critical incidents or problems as necessary. Development – Translate the design elements (configuration/development and data integration) from the business requirements and provide these to developers, or product vendors. Participate in coding, configuration, and development activities periodically. Testing – Ensure system testing methods are appropriate, coordinated, and comprehensive to decrease the probability of unexpected system issues or inability to optimize the systems’ use to maximize business benefit. Deployment -Contribute to the successful plan and execution of the deployment of the project or system changes, which includes support for training, business adoption, implementation, and stabilization activities. ITIL processes – Strong understanding and ability to implement/maintain IT best practices (e.g. ITIL) for service management processes. Technology Implementation Execute and lead technical development/build activities set technical direction support software integration and data integration activities. Ensure proper technical and business requirements have been appropriately defined for each project and are consistent with local and global requirements and best practices. Proactively manage expectations and meet deadlines in a fast-moving, agile environment Apply knowledge to ensure consistency and accuracy in the use of tools and processes supporting requirements management, code management, change management, validation, testing, and quality practices governing key work. Analyze and communicate project status to multiple audiences, including all levels of management. Business Consultation Build effective relationships with business areas using business and systems analysis skills to determine key business needs and influence technology solutions specifically related to business processes. Evaluate proposed project ideas/software changes through technical impact analysis and estimated business value to influence decision making. Document business requirements and effectively communicate them to software vendors, developers, and testers, in a way that is understandable and complete to achieve business and project objectives. Obtain and leverage deep knowledge of business processes and technologies, to ensure solutions meet the needs and to influence future application and business direction. Use increased business knowledge to appropriately challenge the status quo and drive business and IDS collaboration. Influence the execution of projects in collaboration with vendors, business partners, team, and management. Use standardized processes for requirements definition, analysis, design, construct, and test activities. Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of IT experience 2 years of experience with software development life cycle, spanning the lifecycle from project initiation to deployment, support, and retirement 5 years of IT experience (Application Support, Vendor Management, Process Management) ITIL Foundations Certified Experience with Business Objects (PL/SQL) Experience with pharmacovigilance applications (Oracle Argus, Oracle Empirica), Additional Preferences: Experience with tools such as TFS, HP ALM, GitHub, , & JIRA.
