Join our product control team, in Macquarie’s Financial Management Group, delivering product accounting and daily profit and loss analysis for the trading activities in the Commodities & Global Markets Group. You will be a senior leader in a team of more than 60 employees based in our Gurugram office, providing support to all regions that Macquarie operates. Depending on the experience of the successful candidate, this role will be expected to take on the management, oversight and review of the product control stream. In addition, product control is mid-way through a significant system uplift including some automation, and so experience in and exposure to product control transformations would be highly advantageous. This is a key role within our global product control management team and in the Gurugram Financial Management Group team locally. The scope of this role is significant and will be tailored to the experience of the successful candidate. Key responsibilities include: You will own the people strategy, automation change and transformation agenda for the product control team in Gurgram, with a key focus on planning for the future. You will have oversight of production and review of daily profit and loss reports, end of month activities from reconciliation to management reports, daily balance sheet and control reconciliations. You will also partner with the product control senior management team globally to contribute to the overall strategy. You will also oversee our monitoring and governance teams and Commodities and Global Markets -+systems teams globally, partnering with local teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless management of complex BAU technical issues. You will embed a culture of risk management and continuous improvement to ensure finance services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner. Key Skills: Ideally have a CA, CPA, CIMA, CFA or MBA 15 -18 years relevant product control or immediately adjacent industry experience, including 8+ years of people management experience. Strong interest in financial products and industry knowledge around trading businesses. Demonstrate an ability to communicate with, negotiate, work and partner with all team members. Ability to use your experience to contribute ideas, input & drive to ongoing transformation activities Proactive, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership of key team deliverables Ability to continuously re-assess / re-engineer work processes in an evolving commercial and control environment.
