Position: Quality Expert Grade: 11 Reporting To: Assistant Manager – Quality / Manager – Quality Department: CARE-Quality Profile Description: The Quality Expert would be responsible for auditing and providing quality assurance on the output delivered to clients. This may involve auditing of ambulatory care notes, documents, data abstraction, prescription refills etc. S/he will gather information from various sources and build insight into reasons for errors and opportunities for improvement. Key Responsibilities: Process: 1) Scribble . The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for ensuring the appropriate measurement of quality of the process (involving accurate capture of clinical medico leagal and coding related information in documentation created for patient encounters, navigating and abstracting information from EHRs and appropriately flagging information for physician attention) . The responsibility also involves appropriately documenting the reasons for and the nature of errors to provide feedback and contribute to process improvement. . The role involves comparing information between the output of IKS processes and changes made to it physicians, identifying and highlighting differences and postulating reasons for above. 2) Document Management . The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for ensuring the appropriate measurement of quality of the process (involving identifying clinical documents, navigating EHRs, native indexing (filing) of documents – a process that involves the understanding of the content and context of documents – assigning them a name, and uploading them to the appropriate patient’s medical record) is completed with the highest quality and efficiency. . The responsbility also involves identifying key important information in the documents, and inputing that information into specific data fields in the electronic medical record. . It involves comparing information between two medical records, identifying and highlighting differences, and resolving conflicts to ensure complete accuracy of data. 3) Clinical Data Migration . The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for ensuring the appropriate measurement of quality of the process (involving validation of clinical data elements – manually copying and pasting clinical and non clinical data elements from one EHR to the other – copying and pasting documents – identifying clinical documents, navigating EHRs, native indexing (filing) of documents – a process that involves the understanding of the content and context of documents – assigning them a name, and uploading them to the appropriate patient’s medical record) is completed with the highest quality and efficiency. . The responsbility also involves comparing information between two medical records, identifying and highlighting differences, and resolving conflicts to ensure complete accuracy of data. 4) Prescription Refill . The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for ensuring the appropriate measurement of quality of the process (involving validation and identification of prescription refill and other clinical documents, navigating EHRs, native indexing (filing) of documents – a process that involves the understanding of the content and context of documents – assigning them a name, and uploading them to the appropriate patient’s medical record, processing prescription refills using a rulebook, validating the output from automated prescription refill engines – appropriate tasking and ordering inside the EHR) is completed with the highest quality and efficiency. . The responsbility also involves preparing medication orders and sending information to the clinical staff with appropriate communication modalities. Qualifications: 1) Scribble: . Any medical degree MBBS,BDS,BHMS,BAMSis mandatory . A postgraduate degree such as MPH, MHA, MBA would be preferred 2) Data: . Any graduate/diploma is a must. (Life Science, Pharmacy and medical graduates would be preferred) Role Prerequisites: Minimum 2 years and above experience in AR, PP, Billing OR EV/BV is a must. Functional Competencies: . Knowledge of the US healthcare industry and knowledge of clinical auditing is mandatory . Good Feedback and Coaching Skills . Working Knowledge of the 7 Quality Tools would be preferred .
