About the internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Read given material and research industry-specific terminology
2. Convert text and audio recordings from one language to one or more others
3. Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone
4. Prepare subtitles for videos and online presentations
5. Work on cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check the quality of translation
6. Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy
7. Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs
8. Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g., font and structure)
9. Research to stay current on new translation tools and practice

Other requirements
1. Proven work experience as a translator, interpreter, or a similar role (preferred)
2. Fluency in at least two languages in addition to your native language
3. Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
4. Good knowledge of content editing tools
5. Familiarity with translation software
6. Time-management skills
7. Bachelor’s/diploma/additional certification in translation, interpreting, linguistics, or a similar field is a plus
