We are looking for a Tech lead to join the awesomeness of Global Savings Group in our office in Bangalore. Amongst many exciting challenges, you will:
- Lead and hire for our high-performing independent teams of developers, DevOps and test engineers
- Take responsibility for our solution infrastructure and contribute to improving architecture in terms of performance, security, scalability, modularity and operational efficiency
- Be involved in inception to delivery of various features and products on an ambitious and challenging product roadmap
- Ability to be involved in multiple projects at the same time and manage your time effectively
- Be a hands-on developer and should be able to switch between team management and technical implementation comfortably
- Oversee and review the daily deliverables to ensure compliance with high-quality standards
- Set clear team goals and monitor the team performance
- Recognize high performance, reward accomplishments and devise strategies for individual performance improvement
- Coach and motivate all team members by encouraging creativity and risk-taking
- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions with presentations and exposure to tasks that help practice new technologies
- Create an open communication culture, by being open for feedback and supporting conflict resolutions
Mandatory Skills
- Expertise in AWS services, especially around compute, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, SQS, SNS, S3, Cognito, CI/CD, Serverless applications, Data products and services like RDS, Redshift, Kinesis, Athena, Kinesis Firehose, DynamoDB, etc
- Good experience of designing and building microservices using Python and Flask/Django/FastAPI frameworks
- Familiarity with Data engineering, Warehousing and Analysis
- Object-oriented programming concepts with application to concurrent event-based systems
- Experience with more than one Backend programming languages – Javascript, PHP, Go and frameworks like Express/Symfony/Beego
- A keen eye for architecture and application design patterns
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
Desirable Skills
- Have previously contributed to Open source projects
- AWS Solution architecture/SysOps/DevOps certifications will be an advantage
