As a Technical Accounting Intern, you will engage in problem-solving of various accounting matters, research on technical guidance, and prepare internal presentations and analyses for the management team. In addition, you’ll be exposed to nearly every aspect of the finance function in the business and gain a keen understanding of what a career in finance looks like in real life. Besides working on impactful projects, you will participate in a lunch and learn session with our executives, networking activity, and project showcase during the internship. About You: Self-motivated, a problem solver, and enthusiastic “can-do” attitude with a passion for learning and growing A high degree of dedication to improvement and a strong sense of ownership You are a leader and excellent teammate with experience in a collaborative team environment Responsibilities: Perform and assist with complex calculations and analyses Support researching and updating internal documentation on technical accounting issues Prepare management presentations on various metrics, assist with the SEC reporting packages Support month-end and quarter-end accounting close Attend various business meetings with the finance team Develop and maintain professional relationships across Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, and other organizations Required Skills Currently, a Junior or rising Senior enrolled in a four-year degree program or Graduate Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field with an expected graduation date of winter 2022 or spring 2023 A passion for cybersecurity and an aptitude for learning and solving complex problems The ideal candidate will be innovative, team-oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change, and ability prioritize projects in a fast pace environment Willingness to be detail- as well as the relationship-driven individual who desires to contribute to Fortinet’s overall success Must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge with MS Suite and comfortable learning new accounting systems and have strong communication, speaking, and writing skills in a dynamic team #LI-JK1
