Purpose Performance Standards: Duties and Responsibilities People Lead team of writers (junior to expert) or similar roles (in content creation) Coach and develop expert and senior writers or similar roles (on content/methods/processes) Maintain effective relationship with the end stakeholders (medical scientific community) within the allocated TA/GBU and product – with an end objective to develop education and communication content as per requirement Ensure new technologies are leveraged Performance indicator Feedback from stakeholders (Team members/Group Lead, Publication Lead/Medical communication Lead/Process Owners) 30% Performance Act as strategic thought partner to assigned TA(s) within an assigned GBU Develop and maintain expertise in assigned TA and on key trends/developments in the industry Provide inputs for publication and communication plan/publication and medical education materials/other strategic deliverables, and ensure delivery as per plan (agreed timelines and quality) Lead and support development of tools, technology, and processes in order to constantly improve quality and productivity Performance indicators Adherence to timeline Adherence to quality target Adherence to budget 20% Process Support delivery of projects in terms of resourcing, quality, timeliness, efficiency, and high technical standards for deliveries made by the medical writing group, including scientific documents and clinical/medical reports Contribute to overall quality enhancement by ensuring high scientific standards for the output produced by the scientific writing group Secure adherence to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards Ensure all publication and medical education materials are delivered as per agreed timelines and quality Ensure creating and developing tools, technology, and process to constantly improve quality and productivity Leverage advanced training delivery tools and techniques thereby enhancing the effectiveness of training delivery Performance indicators Feedback from stakeholders (end users, medical team) on overall satisfaction Observations in case of audit/inspection 20% Stakeholder Work closely with scientific communication teams in regions/areas to identify publication need and assist in developing assigned deliverables Maintain effective relationship with the end stakeholders (medical scientific community) with an end objective to develop education and communication content as per requirement Performance indicator Feedback from stakeholders (end users, medical team) on overall satisfaction 30% Pre-requisites Therapeutic area/domain knowledge exposure – Proficient in multiple therapy areas/domains under one GBU (including but not limited to): Diabetes Dyslipidemia/Familial hypercholesterolemia Cardiovascular diseases Thrombosis/atherothrombosis Transplant Central nervous system Multiple sclerosis Immunology Oncology Emerging markets Generics Vaccines Vitamins and supplements Digestive Allergies Parkinson’s disease Rare diseases Rare blood diseases Highly proficient in the following areas: Scientific communications/writing Medical communications/writing Publication planning Stakeholder management Project management People Management Advanced degree in life sciences/pharmacy/similar discipline or medical degree Excellent knowledge of English language (verbal and written) 10 years of experience in content creation for the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, or academia 6 years of experience in leadership role Ability to influence and negotiate At Sanofi diversity and inclusion is foundational to how we operate and embedded in our Core Values.
