Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Vice President, Software Engineering Senior Manager for Properties, Security & Supply Chain Technologies (PSSCT I&P) within Technology for the Chief Operating Office India & Philippines (TCOO I&P)
PSSCT group provides technology solutions to corporate property group, corporate security group, supply chain management and third-party risk management.
In this role, you will:
- Report directly to the Head of TCOO I&P, with dotted line alignment to Global Head of PSSCT
- Provide leadership, manage, and develop constituent engineering teams of PSSCT I&P with single point accountability towards supporting products and applications development, business alignment and managing customer satisfaction
- Provide thought leadership, steer transformation initiatives in line with Wells Fargo Technology (WFT) strategic roadmap, partner with peers within TCOO and WFT towards achieving engineering excellence, including but not limited to agile transformation, tech stack modernization, change and deployment game plan development and execution of strategic long-term and tactical immediate safety and soundness initiatives, vulnerability remediation, production environment availability and application health scores
- Partner with product leaders, lead systems architects, and engineering managers to develop product functional and technical strategies for PSSCT product portfolio, and drive strategic outcomes
- Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers
- Determine appropriate strategy and actions of business line product portfolio teams to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables, providing expertise and thought leadership in the PSSCT portfolio domain
- Interpret and develop actionable strategies and plans for engineering teams and supported areas of TCOO in general, and PSSCT in particular
- Oversee engineering teams to deliver commitments aligned to line of business strategic priorities
- Support CTO/Global Head of PSSCT in financial forecast and budget development
- Recommend risk management requirements for supported area and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Collaborate with and influence stakeholders, and all levels of professionals, including senior managers
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives of software engineering in TCOO I&P
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development, team engagement and professional satisfaction within PSSCT I&P
- Manage and develop engineering managers and senior engineering leads in progressively higher roles, and build a strong line of succession
- Enable, manage and support an integrated environment of over 60+ applications (e.g., SaaS, custom microservices, public, hybrid, and on-premises Cloud environments), 120K+ endpoints (e.g., IoT and traditional) and associated data / analytics platforms
- Interact across the enterprise, actively participate in WFT events and collaborate in opportunities for continuously improving software engineering practices and productivity of teams
- Effectively manage risk within PSSCT I&P, recommend risk management requirements for supported area and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Actively engage with other horizontal functions and key partners to leverage their capabilities and/or influence continual improvement of engineering practices
- Build and manage an effective and efficient PSSCT I&P team
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including strategy/planning and delivery excellence
- 7+ years of technology management experience
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Platform culture, and API-everything
- Experience in Agile culture of DevOps, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and deployment
- Expertise in cloud technologies (Azure/GCP/PCF, containerization), Agile software development, secure SDLC practices, CI/CD, BDD and working knowledge of product development
- Experience in building Integration platforms using MuleSoft
- Experience in building and enhancing data integration, warehouses, and associated services
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology Governance Risk and Compliance, risk management, technology controls and information security

- Experience in managing Corporate Properties, Corporate (physical) Security or Supply Chain Technology teams/programs

- Experience in running large scale automation projects
- Experience in managing large teams (100+ resources)
- Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, Procure-to-Pay capabilities etc.
