Job Description : Job summary Amazon Business is one of Amazon’s fastest growing new initiatives focused on building solutions to enable business customers to research, discover and buy business, industrial and scientific products in large catalogs across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, businesses and institutions that buy in either high frequency or in bulk quantities. Our customers have different and frequently more complex needs than the traditional Amazon customer base. The charter of the Post Purchase Experience (PPX) team is to deliver an integrated experience for all post purchase capabilities and use cases that range from order management (Your Orders), self-service help (Message Us chat bot), and finally assisted service through AB CS Agents (AB CRM, built on top of Customer Support Central). We are also the custodian of overall PPX by collaborating with other PPX teams such as ABA, invoices and MYD (Manage Your delivery). Our vision is to empower customers to execute post order actions through intuitive self-serve experiences that are more convenient than contacting customer support, while enabling customers to interact with customer support (human or bot) if they are preferred channels. We are looking for high caliber and tested Senior TPMs to start a consumer business project with strategic significance and high exposure. The initiative is fundamental to Amazon’s future, and will provide great personal satisfaction and career development as we tackle some of the most intriguing problems in software architecture design and building highly scalable services. It will lay the foundation for Amazon’s future retail technology while serving a wide range of existing external customer needs. We are building extremely customer focused software that can also serve many fast-growing businesses for decades to come. The project will have regular reviews with the company’s senior leaders. The scope of the project is set to scale rapidly for the next few years post launch. In this role you will define scalable processes and frameworks leveraged by multiple cross-functional teams. You will apply both business and technical acumen in a fast-paced, ambiguous and innovative environment. This role requires hands-on project management skills, deep technical expertise, and excellent leadership skills. You will be responsible for collecting business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch. You will also be responsible for setting project management standards and expectations and delivering large, cross functional projects. Basic qualifications 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry, including hands-on management of large, cross-functional software efforts Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field Experience working in an agile/scrum environment Experience managing efforts in Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications First-hand working knowledge of current web technologies Experience with business applications such as Word, Excel and Project Preferred Qualifications : Preferred qualifications Strong bias for action and ‘get it done’ attitude The ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise and to work with both technical and non-technical individuals. The ability to deal with ambiguity and a changing environment, as well as a rapid work pace. A proven track record of being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects. Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position Fluency and comfort with business applications such as Word, Excel and Project. Project management, Process Improvement or Quality certifications desired. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to scope technical requirements and prioritize A Masters in computer science or related technical discipline
