Job Description Summary Responsible for working in lock-step with application or domain leaders acting as a senior technical product manager to create a clear strategic direction that will be delivered by the product development team. You will work with the team and deliver a clear and descriptive set of requirements to enable the delivery of product features and functionality. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders including but not limited to: Customers, Process Owners, Enterprise Architects, Application Managers, Development teams and Technical Architects. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities In this role as a Technical Product Manager, you will: Work closely with the stake holders (Executive Stakeholders, Global Product owner / business champion, Regions Function teams, Development team) on the product roadmap and strategy of a digital technology product or platform in the Businesses digital transformation initiatives. Be in charge of working the strategy with the business, translating requirements into the product features and user stories. Orchestrate a variety of stakeholders to achieve a shared vision of product goals and priorities. Work closely with other product teams to convey the product vision and continuously verify the product delivers the vision. Liaison with the UX developer in the User Experience ideation and design for the features in pipeline. Develop deep understanding of customer goals and the value customers derive from Digital Tech products you will be working on. Collaborate with the development team on Functional Impact Analysis, coming up with Application architecture and Design. Translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning. Be a GOTO person on the functional aspects of the product for the business and technical teams. Be an expert in Agile Product development, prioritize the feature and stories from the backlogs based on the customer priorities and economic value of the feature based on the business impact. Work with the developers to explain the Features and User stories during Sprint planning sessions and during the Sprint. Work closely with the stake holders – Functional Users, Product Owners, Development team managing the complete life cycle of the assigned Feature development till go live. Manage the defects and track them to closure. Own the product backlogs for one or set of user Personas and consciously work on backlog grooming to ensure there is good pipeline for Scrum Team. Manage stakeholder communication and status reporting on the product releases and milestones. Demos of the completed user stories to the functional users for UAT and manage UAT feedbacks. Support impact assessment and decision related to technology choices, design /architectural considerations and implementation strategy. Develop, support, and execute against a road-map alongside your functional counterpart Work with Scrum Master and Engineering managers on resolution of the functional aspects of the impediments, road-blocks. Responsible for writing the product documentation and user manuals, impart user trainings for product releases. Education Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in with advanced experience. Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems (IS), Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience. Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles Experience working in an Agile environment. 6+ years of experience in Product management, Software development. Familiarity with versatile implementation options Demonstrates knowledge on technical topics, such as caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security Business Acumen: Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts Has the ability to analyse impact of technology choices Skilled in negotiation to align stakeholders and communicate a single synthesised perspective to the scrum team. Balances value propositions for competing stakeholders. Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment Demonstrates knowledge of technologies in the market to help make buy vs build recommendations, scope MVPs, and to drive market timing decisions Leadership: Influences through others builds direct and ‘behind the scenes’ support for ideas. Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome. Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications.
