SUMMARY OF JOB
Technical Analyst Team Lead is a technically skilled professional who is a process and procedure specialist that provides in-depth and cross-functional guidance to global content operations on tools, processes, specifications and database integrity. This role is responsible for improving efficiency and accuracy of mapping Data operations. Manages people and mentors them on technical aspects and collaborates across teams. Anticipates and mitigates quality risks impacting database integrity.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Resolve and provide guidance on new and / or complex situations with map data operations processes.
- Support prototyping & user experience testing activities of new tools and processes
- Identify potential areas for effective utilization of existing tools across programs and provide inputs for improvement
- Lead risk assessment (FMEA) for upcoming tools to enable launch to scale
- Identify opportunities to automate commoditized work and simplify complex work
- Analyze & evaluate user requirements to provide inputs in planning and prioritization of new tool development & drive through participation
- Engage early with global stakeholders to identify upcoming technology and process changes
- Deep dive into issues requiring in-depth technical acumen and drive preventive & corrective actions to avoid reoccurrence of issues and ensure timely escalations/mitigations
- Leads a team of technical analysts for enabling support on pre-data operations and launch activities
- Ensure timely and appropriate employee performance planning and evaluation
- Collaborate with project teams to create detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and project tracking/reporting to effectively manage each project
Who are you?
- Bachelor’s degree (3 years college/polytechnic education) or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
- 5+ years of relevant Technical experience and experience in project/people management
- Good computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS office suite
- Experience with mapping technologies, GIS software and concepts or allied relevant expertise. Demonstrate understanding of lean practices, quality tools, and workflow optimization concepts and methodologies.
- Expert on GIS and mapping software packages, including ArcGIS, 3D Studio Max, XML Spy, FME, IDQ
- Detail orientation with strong process oriented skills and focus on deadline achievement
