About the role – you will: . Have the opportunity and the responsibility not only to build great applications but to help shape software architecture across our entire consumer product ecosystem. . help with architecture, design, and implementation of key areas of our web ecosystem and work closely with our user experience team to build a great user interface . Work collaboratively with other teams in the company such as Product Management, Client Software, UX and QA . Develop front-end or node modules for Web applications using the latest technology stack . Help drive constant innovation in both product and process About you: . Excellent object-oriented software design skills with focus on high-quality, maintainable, scalable, and performant web architecture. . Experience and or coursework with Javascript and NodeJS . Solid development experience with Web applications . Knowledge of web communication architecture, i.e. REST/AJAX . Experience with CSS or SASS, bootstrap . Strong attention to details . Advocates for and improves upon software development practices as a means to delivering a phenomenal product. . Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, memory management, concurrency) with demonstrated ability to apply these skills to solve hard real world problems Location: Normandale, MN Seagate Longmont, CO Seagate Fremont, CA Seagate Ideal candidates live near one of our major research and design centers listed above and report to the office in a hybrid cadence post-COVID restrictions. Location: Our Normandale campus spans two suburbs, Edina and Bloomington, and serves as the Recording Head development and manufacturing arm of Seagate. For Colorado applicants only – Colorado’s 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated salary range for this position: $77,000 – $132,000 yearly. Actual salary range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
