About our group: The Office of the CTO (OCTO) is a technology-focused group with the charter: To understand industry mega-trends and influence Seagate’s research and product strategy Storage architects in this team engage with industry-partners, consortia, academia, and open-communities around future technology vectors To project-manage Seagate Research projects, ensuring timely maturation of projects through the technology funnel To facilitate the communication of thought leadership topics internally and externally We have an exciting opportunity for a senior writer/designer to enable the research & product development technical community with high quality content-generation. You will report directly to the OCTO senior director. About the role – you will: Design presentations for meetings, executive keynotes, events and internal initiatives Partner closely with speakers, stakeholders, and creative-services to ensure presentation material is easy to digest and on brand Leverage best practices of presentation design Promote high-quality storytelling Assist in the generation of whitepapers, blogs and articles promoting Seagate thought-leadership Catalog key presentations for future use by internal stakeholders About you: Ability to understand complex topics, and translate them into beautiful and engaging narrative material Self-driven with ability to work on broad objectives Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills Be highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects in a timely manner Pixel-perfect awareness and superb attention to detail Your experience includes: BA/BS/MFA degree in Graphic / Visual Design, Communications, or equivalent experience Executive-level written and visual communication High level of proficiency in Powerpoint Strong design aesthetic skills, understanding of current design trends You might also have: Proficiency in Adobe CS design tools, Keynote Project management experience Colorado’s 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated base salary range for this position: $75,400 – $110,000. Actual salary range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
