Job Description

  • Independently initiates business proposals utilizing existing templates for proposals with a low degree of complexity
  • Under the direction of manager, and by using the existing templates, complete the steps necessary to initiate a business proposal of moderate degree of complexity.
  • With direction from manager, initiate workload, weekly summaries and other reports from CRM.
  • Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; enters and monitors tracking data; coordinates requirements with contributors and leads proposal meetings.
  • With direction from manager or proposal team member, may assist with follow-up to various internal departments to coordinate proposal activities/content as needed
  • Manages lifecycle of proposal (low level complexity) through contract stage.
  • Maintains all business proposal and final contracts in MMS databases/secure repository.
  • Tracks and follows-up on pending proposals, contracts and amendments as needed and updating tracking system with each status change.
  • May assist in development and maintenance of the proposal text library or sharing content with the marketing/sales teams.
  • May assist in business development activities including lead generation research, outreach and follow-up; update and track activities in CRM.
  • May assist in bid defense and capability presentation preparation in collaboration with business development and proposals colleagues.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in science, or similar is preferred or relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in proposal work in CRO or similar field required.
  • Basic understanding of CROs and scientific & clinical data/terminology, & the drug development process.
  • Prior experience in CROs/ Pharmaceutical Services and scientific and clinical data/terminology, and the drug development required.
  • Strong organizational skills and extremely detail oriented.
  • Efficient time management skills; Ability to handle multiple work assignments concurrently; Ability to coordinate and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with many unique personalities.
  • Familiarity with current ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards preferred.
  • Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11, FDA, and GCP requirements.
