Job description: What You’ll Do
Interact with various Indian regulatory authorities such as DoT, TRAI, TEC, etc. on regulatory and technical compliance, testing and certification requirements for Cisco products and solutions in India.
Close coordination with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), other Govt. Departments and ministries on various product testing and certification schemes.
Program, implement the process of responding, planning, sourcing and testing of Cisco products and solutions with the relevant authorities as well as internal customers to ensure timely completion of compliance requirements
Supervise any local policy and regulatory developments that may apply to the sales of Cisco solutions within India and highlight any risks or action required by Cisco in this regard.
Also work with relevant industry bodies and Govt authorities to participate in deliberations on regulatory and policy topics relevant to Cisco.
Who You’ll Work With
You will be working with a global, cross-functional team responsible for product compliance, testing and certification across, but not limited to
Govt Affairs, Supply Chain, Business Units and Sales, our partners as well as Governmental agencies and Industry bodies.
Who You Are
- You have 8-10 years proven experience working in a similar role with other technology OEMs or Service Providers within India.
- You are familiar with the regulatory and compliance framework for India as it applies to IT OEMs like Cisco and other telecommunications and IT equipment and solutions.
- You have validated analytical and problem-solving skills and strong market research skills.
- You can convey the most sophisticated concepts in the simplest of term.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and multi-cultural business environment and you can work with a range of sensitive and confidential issues
Required skills & abilities:
- Technical knowledge and consultative skills. Strong background and knowledge in Enterprise Networking, Security & Cloud, including solution, technology and product offerings.
- Understanding of the multiple industry trends (IoT, Hybrid Cloud, Cyber Security, API, DevOps, etc).
- IT Architecture Experience & Certification recommended
- Design Thinking & Collective Intelligence experience is a plus
- Excellent written, verbal communication, listening and presentation skills. Able to articulate sophisticated ideas and strategies to people at all levels of the organization.
- You are a strong collaborator, working optimally to make valuable contributions to the team.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills: ability to assess a problem and recommend an effective course of action.
- Ready to work in a sales environment
- CxO level relationship experience skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field from a reputable university/college
- This position is based out of Gurgaon or New Delhi. Travel will vary with return to normal business from COVID, expect up to 30% travel long term.
