Job Category LegalJob Details The Manager for Government Affairs India & South Asia will work with the global government affairs team, and report directly to the Head for India Government Affairs. This individual will have responsibility for India and regional growth markets near India, such as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, working to align policy strategy and business strategy. Responsibilities: Analyze political, policy and regulatory issues that need to be advocated by Salesforce. Work with business leaders, including India CEO, to position Salesforce positively with Government at multiple levels. Develop and manage trusted relationships with key influencers: state government officials, state PSUs, agencies, academics, industry leaders. Support business growth, including public sector Work with a cross-functional team (legal, sales, communications, marketing, real estate, privacy) to develop policy positions supporting cloud computing, enterprise software and digital transformation across India Draft advocacy materials and position papers, including messages to target audiences. Plan and support interactions and events that engage external government and industry leaders with Salesforce. Qualifications and Skills Required Skills/Experience: Bachelor/Graduate degree, or equivalent proven experience in public policy and/or law Experience working in government and/or government affairs (4+ yrs) Deep knowledge and experience of the policy-making process across India, and a motivation to understand constantly evolving technology policy Excellent written and verbal communication Experience to develop/present public policy positions before government or other key stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multinational environment, and ability to travel Commitment to collaborate with people across different departments and organizations Desired Skills/Experience: Ability to work independently and take initiative, yet 100% collaborative with the team Experience working at a multinational company Experience working at a technology company Demonstrate Salesforce values: trust, customer success, innovation, equality Accommodations If you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions please submit a request via this .Posting Statement At Salesforce we believe that the business of business is to improve the state of our world.
