The newly rebranded Cloud & Platform Technology (CPT) franchise sits within Group CIO as part of the Group CTO function. We are responsible for forward looking technology across Deutsche Bank (DB) and offer 4 macro products: Application Platforms, Data & Analytics, Process & Automation and Developer Tooling. We aspire to be the benchmark technology organization in DB.

Our goal is to build & offer simple self-service shared platforms for clients to consume and in turn run their own business applications on. We’ll use a combination of open source and vendor technologies coupled with Cloud native services where appropriate and use automation for efficiency and accuracy.

Engineer

You’ll be an engineer with 5+ years of experience and join a team of other enthusiastic individuals striving to innovate, design and build solutions that meet comprehensive requirements. You’ll be familiar with the SDLC and Agile practices and able to translate requirements into technical solutions whilst communicating effectively both in and outside your team. You’ll have development skills, familiar with IDE’s and development tool sets.

Senior Engineer

You’ll be a well-seasoned software engineer with 8+ years of experience and join a team of other enthusiastic individuals striving to innovate, design and build solutions that meet comprehensive requirements. You’ll be very familiar with the SDLC and Agile practices and able to translate requirements into technical solutions whilst communicating effectively both in and outside your team. You’ll have development skills, familiar with IDE’s and development tool sets. You’ll be a mentor in the team and help others build solutions and identify coding inaccuracies efficiently through code reviews. You’ll excel as an engineer and a role model for others to follow with exposure to team leading.

Your key responsibilities:

Your skills and experience:

  • Strong experience and commitment to deliver in Agile process highlighting change while accelerating delivery.
  • Minimum 8+ (for AVP) , 5+ (for Associate), 3+ (for Analyst) years of overall hands-on experience in Linux infrastructure design and implementation
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills with team culture.

Specific Technology Skills

Must Have

  • Experience creating or managing Kubernetes clusters
  • Ansible
  • Linux (RHEL)
  • Networking (TCP/IP, Load Balancing, Proxy, DNS)
  • Exposure to at least one of the major Cloud technologies: Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP

Desirable

  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift v3 and above
  • Experience in at least one of: Ansible Tower, Terraform, Chef, Puppet
  • Development experience in Python
