What You’ll be Doing
Do you have a passion for the supporting and ensuring patient care is delivered with precision and accuracy? In this role, you’ll review and audit recordings of physical examinations, medical history, document procedures, lab results, diagnoses and follow up procedures. You are already a subject matter expert in medical terminology and documentation. We’ll train you to be a specialist in specific documentation processes, so you can be confident in providing the highest level of service possible.
During a Typical Day, You’ll
- Listen to and accurately document anything that happens during the physical examination including but not limited to:
- Procedures during the examination
- Lab results
- Diagnoses
- Follow ups
- Participate in continuing quality reviews of other medical scribe materials for accuracy as a part of ongoing training
- Utilize medical terminology including less common phrases referencing specializations or medical acronyms
What You Bring to the Role
- Written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to accurately review, listen and document pertinent information in audio files into the written word
- Demonstrated understanding and spelling of medical terminology
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical tests, common medications, and medical procedures
- Experience working on electronic documentation software
- 2+ years’ experience working in a medical scribe or medical transcription
