Job description: – To design manufacturing process and implement on shop floor for 2 plants.

– Design operational resources effectively & efficiently to meet customer schedules and company objectives of Qlty., Cost, Deliveries, Development, Safety, Employee morale & Environment.

– Implement ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software for the manufacturing process.

Manufacturing Engineering Management

– Deciding best Manufacturing Strategy by objective study of options with data.

– Manufacturing process designing and its implementation on shop floor.

– Design and implementation of Machine Layout, Batch size decision, Production Aids and Production toolings.

– Carry out Production trials for New Business Opportunity sizes and ensure to meet Product & Process standards.

– Undertake projects for Cost reduction, Cycle Time reduction, Process Stability improvements, Kaizens, Problem solving and for reducing Customer complaints.

– Implementing ERP software for Manufacturing process in current plant and in new plant (project stage).

– Identify bottleneck operations in plant and undertake projects to balance all mfg. operations

– Design system improvement points/projects based on internal& external quality defects data.

– Undertake projects for improvements in hourly production capacity, production costs, manpower cost, rejection/ rework, wip/ FG mgt., MTTR & MTBF of machines, spares mgt., spare cost control and R&M cost control.

– Improve safety on shop floor,building safe work culture&Implementing ISO 14001, 45001 & 50001.

– Work experience in TS16949 is must.

– Must show flexibility to adapt to Japanese way of working towards planning, execution & achieving targets.

– Lead cost reduction projects and achieve company budget targets.

– Motivate mfg. team to undertake quality circles, small group activities aimed towards cost reduction, rework / rejection reduction, CT reduction, Kaizens, ergonomic improvements& Layout improvements by benchmarking other group plants.

– Introduce Low-cost automations&Enhance automations.

– Identify bottle neck operations and work toward de-bottlenecking.

– Undertake energy saving projects to enhance EHS performance

– Support entire productioncycle from PPC planning to packing stages. Effective coordination amongst PPC, Prodn, Maint, QA and other support functions to realise company goals.

– Support in analysis and CAPA implementation for resolving customer complaints

– Prepare MIS on daily, weekly & monthly basis as per company systems

– Cooperate with Business Development programs to achieve NBO plans on first time right basis

– Introduce Kanban, JIT / JIS and other lean mfg. systems

– Undertake to participate in external competitions for quality / cost improvements & Kaizens.

– Ethicalconduct in all areas of workis must.
