Position Description: Beckman Coulter’s middleware solution Remisol is seeking a Senior Software development Engineer to deliver high quality deliverables. Remisol consolidates and manages patient orders and results information through one workstation. Whether it’s connected to a single analyzer or an entire network of instruments, our Clinical Information System enables your lab to increase efficiency and deliver faster turnaround time. Plus, you can consolidate workstations and improve the quality of clinical information. The position Senior Software Development Engineer , reports to the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Clinical IT and Software Development Manager, with the primary responsibility to design new features and address CFs reported from field. The incumbent translates requirements into software requirement specifications. The incumbent architects, designs, codes and tests software components. The incumbent will conduct and participate in reviews and inspections for all elements in the software lifecycle to ensure that our software quality and customer satisfaction goals are achieved. The incumbent will be responsible for all elements of the software life cycle. The incumbent will also be responsible for investigating system issues and successfully determining root cause. May lead and/or participate in multi-functional product research and development teams. Specific responsibilities commensurate with experience and include: Work in iterative release product environment, with focus on challenging quality and delivery goals Requirement analysis Effective Technical Communication and problem-solving skills Perform code inspections. Investigate software, hardware, system problems and determine root causes for failures. Use effectively prior experience of designing and architecting software modules. Great exposure Multi-threaded application development. Effectively use the knowledge on data persistence and query: SQL, Transact SQL,. Ensure compliance to organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements such as FDA, ISO 13485 Facilitate discussion within the team and with other departments Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 7 – 10 years of proven experience Work in an International environment (part of a French development team) Ability to work offset working hours (aligned with France schedule) Expert in C++ based solutions with good depth of knowledge in Unit Testing, Code Quality, Code Refactoring Minimum 5 years development experience with Visual C++ & Windows expert Expert in writing and optimizing Database queries Experience in designing software components using OOA/OOD methodologies Experience of working in Scrum team/Scrum environment Exposure to Design Control and Healthcare domain is a (+) Experience in Agile and Scrum principles (+) Ability to travel as needed Danaher is a global science & technology innovator committed to helping our customers solve complex challenges and improve quality of life worldwide.
