What you’ll achieve
Support a global repository of VMware and Bare-metal OS templates that support Lab Security Standards.
Works with engineering departments to develop successful measurements to establish metrics. Ability to proactively monitor applications and data center environments for networking events and actions. Demonstrates a high degree of self-initiative. Performs other duties as required.
You will:
- Perform a wide variety of implementation and update of global repository template images for VMS and Bare metal systems within Engineering and Operations Labs.
- Conduct system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies, patch levels, and operating system and messaging application revisions.
- Work with team members in performing research, operation studies, design reviews to maintains a working knowledge of all documented response procedures, including disaster recovery and escalation procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the technical environment for problems and root cause analysis.

Essential Requirements
- Strong Proficiency in Operating Systems (Windows / Linux) and hardware, software.
- Technical expertise in virtualization to include VMware suite/applications, OS imaging Tools, Templates, OVF,Vmware content Library etc.
- Experience installation of Operating Systems with OS imagining tools, PXE server on Bare Metal.
- vCenter Administration experience, VM Snapshots Management (Backup/Disaster Recovery planning)
- Desirable experience scripting automation with ANSIBLE / Shell scripting etc.
Desirable Requirements
- Infrastructure Security Management / Patch Management / Configuration Management
- Windows / Linux / VMWare / Cheff / Puppet / Ansible
