About the department
Global Medical Affairs, GBS is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs, headquartered in Denmark (HQ), and is part of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. The team consists of highly motivated global scientific advisors, project managers, graphic designers and publication managers working together with the Global Medical Affairs department in Søborg, Denmark.
Our core competencies include communicating scientific and medical knowledge on our products to the external scientific community and across the organisation, in-house content development, project management and publication planning for external medical events.
The position
As a Global Scientific Advisor, you will be part of a team of highly motivated and talented medical doctors and scientific project managers with clinical, research and/or pharmaceutical experience, who are passionate about drug development, medical and scientific education, and communication. You will use your analytical skills and your creativity towards communicating scientific ideas to a global audience.
As a Global Scientific Advisor, you will provide timely, accurate and credible scientific and medical input for a variety of projects pertaining to Scientific communications around Novo Nordisk’s products. Your tasks will involve close collaboration and effective communication with various cross-functional stakeholders including colleagues from global medical affairs and other functional areas. Another important part of the job is to engage in dialogue with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in different settings with focus on medical and scientific information and preparing their presentations for Novo Nordisk standalone events and international medical congresses.
Qualifications
- A PhD in Life Sciences with previous pharmaceutical industry experience;
- Proven publication record having produced scientific articles independently – preferably as first author
- An ability to work independently with pro-activity
- It is an advantage if you have experience in working cross-culturally or in global teams
- You thrive in a setting with a high level of complexity and have solid problem-solving capabilities and a positive attitude
- You have excellent collaboration and communication skills and are fluent in professional English
You should expect international travel of approximately 20% every year. Subject to current restrictions in the current pandemic situation.
