Systems Technician
This position is part of the Systems Algorithm Team which is tasked with creating controls and other algorithms that define the performance and safety of a critical care ventilator. The candidate will test new design algorithms, based on established protocols or minimum guidelines, and provide the test data to the Engineering staff. The candidate will also be responsible for the maintenance of equipment and lab work area. The ideal candidate is self-driven and able to perform his/her tasks with minimal supervision and simply based on established priorities.
Tasks:
Assist engineering staff by
Creating, modifying and testing products
Preparing and conducting experiments
Recording results during experiments
Assist in product design, development, and production.
Inspecting products and processes for flaws and identifying areas of improvement.
Building and setting up test equipment.
Manage the Work Area in Engineering Lab
Ensuring that all equipment is under calibration/PM control
Calibrating test equipment
Managing the adequate supply of tools and supplies
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Associate degree (required) or equivalent experience within a V&V lab
Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a V&V Lab, supporting electro-mechanical medical devices and documenting within an ERP system (SAP is a plus)
3-5 years of working experience in medical device manufacturing/development
Basic knowledge and experience with technical knowledge associated with ventilators is a plus
Experience/proven affinity with Microsoft Office applications
Experience working with automated test software (LabView knowledge preferred)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Experience working within regulated environment (preferred)
