About the internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Liaise closely with the technical and marketing director
2. Comply with competent knowledge in both the production & manufacturing methodologies, to ensure shop drawings supplied to the client are not misleading & comply with the estimate
3. Regularly maintain databases that are updated weekly or when required
4. Report on work progress and drawing completion – before approval and production commencement in the factory
5. Assist with obtaining customer approval on our drawings Produce production-ready drawings – ensure the drawing programs are compatible with the machinery along with all correct hardware & materials being selected
6. Ensure timely completion of all allocated projects
7. Communicate clearly about any variations or amendments to the drawings, coordinate resolution of production problem
8. Ensure conformance – to customer specifications, company standards as well as other regulatory requirements
9. Assist in day-to-day department operations when necessary
10. Carry out the drafting requirements for new or existing projects
11. Prepare technical drawings, and draft plans, to be used in the production and construction
12. Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts
13. Explain drawings to production teams and provide adjustments as necessary
