Description:
DRG is looking for a curious, creative, team worker and detail-oriented individual for the role of a Sr. Analyst. In this role, you will work with a team of data scientists to mine and make sense of three large, distinct datasets that focus on three different aspects of the US healthcare market: hospital purchasing, hospital claims and EHR (electronic health records). Responsibilities include:
- Effectively build, mine, and manage multiple datasets, which will be required for market modelling and analysis
- Designing surveys to produce the required data, collecting and analyzing the data
- Maintain existing SKU catalogs
- Evaluate data outputs for market trends and draw insights; correct any potential errors and issues
- Research and understand novel device markets, including major competitors, uses, and product segmentation
- Manage and handle custom requests from key DRG clients in the medical device space
- Present key findings to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Expertise working on Healthcare or Lifesciences domain projects such as KPI reporting, sales analytics, marketing analytics, patient analytics, payer analytics, brand management and provider analytics
- Expertise in understanding data variables and connecting the dots in various datasets
- Expertise in handling and manipulating large data sets
- Expertise in statistical modelling (forecasting, clustering, market mix modelling, etc.) and analyzing outputs generated from different methodologies
- Knowledge or experience in working with DRG and ICD / CPT codes would be an asset
- Proficiency with written and oral communications and must be able to communicate complex quantitative ideas to internal and external stakeholders
- Should have handled short/long term projects end to end
Skills:
- Strong statistical knowledge with master’s degree in economics or statistics
- Strong knowledge of SQL is mandatory
- A clear understanding of statistical terms and concepts;
- Analytical skills
- Expertise in any one (or more) of the data processing tools/languages such as – R/Python/SAS/SQL
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus
- Strong Excel and PPT skills
Preferred (Good to have) skills:
- Understanding of Market Access and Payer landscape in the US
- Exposure to claims data – understanding of how a Pharmacy/Medical claim gets processed in the US (claim adjudication process)
- Experience managing projects focused on patients using Patient level data (APLD)
- Experience working with data from IMS including formulary, SHA or any other data vendor
