Role Purpose:

· To understand the requirement and figure out corresponding changes and impacts to Kenan and Upstreams/Downstreams.

· To design, and develop solutions for the Kenan Billing System.

· To provide key technical expertise on these systems to the team and to be a product expert.

· To ensure quality is maintained across deliverables.

· To perform system integration testing & regression testing of solutions for the Kenan Billing System.

Key accountabilities

Design, Develop and Test technical specifications & billing solutions for Kenan upgrade/ migration project, all through using a knowledge of Amdocs Kenan FX application together with good Java, Perl and UNIX shell scripting skills.

· Get involved in the Requirement Analysis phase and help the requester and Architect for figure Kenan and related system impacts.

· Deliver complete solutions along with installation guides, system test plans and results of tests and thoroughly test solutions to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and up to COLT agreed standards.

· Maintain such documentation as is required to record changes to the systems, provide evidence of testing, and explain impact of changes to other users.

· To actively contribute to the analysis, design and configuration of the end-user billing system.

· To acquire a good working knowledge of the different COLT country set-ups and requirements and to gain an understanding of the COLT billing model and New Product Introduction development cycle.

· Work towards achieving tight project deadlines to deliver within expected time and quality and escalating where appropriate.

· Adhere to COLT change control process in regards to production updates.

· Produce accurate estimates for the development of software code for specified systems

· Ensure timely delivery of regular reports and attendance of appropriate meetings as defined by manager.

· Prepare test cases and scripts to test an assigned module or functionality

· Execute test cases and log defects.

· Report on assigned tasks and raise any conflict in task priorities and risk of incomplete assigned tasks

· Hands on development experience in Java, Perl, UNIX, shell scripting, Oracle, PL/SQL

· Experience of Kenan FX / Arbor BP

Skills & Experience

Mandatory Skills

  • Kenan Billing System (FX 2.0 or 3.0 or 4.x) of Amdocs/ Comverse, Arbor/BP
  • Hands on experience on Java, Perl, UNIX, Shell scripting, JBOSS, Oracle, PL/SQL, XML, XSD, JSON
  • Good Knowledge of Kenan API-TS (DOM, Hashmap)
  • Good Knowledge of Kenan configuration
  • Good Knowledge of Kenan operational tasks (core Kenan processes)
  • Good working knowledge of the systems development lifecycle.
  • Hands on experience in software/systems design and development work
  • 8-12 Years of total experience with minimum 6 years of relevant development experience on Kenan Billing platform

Desirable Skills

  • Preferably experience of IT/BSS product development and implementation within a telecoms company
  • Preferably experience of IT/BSS operational support within a telecoms company.
  • Technical and functional knowledge of other retail billing systems, wholesale billing systems and Mediation systems.
  • Development experience using C, C++, Pro C
  • Development experience of any Invoice Template designing tools

  • Good communication including high-level of spoken English & good document writing skill.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Strong inter-personal skills, with experience of facilitation / negotiation
  • Technical understanding of Business Systems and Services solutions and appreciation of their structure and workings.

Qualifications

Minimum qualification – B.E. or B.Tech.
