Job summary:
We are looking for a self-driven Technical Trainer to level-up our Engineering Onboarding process, support our engineering teams with upskilling and role progression, to help us continue driving tech excellence. You will closely work with our Engineering leads and People team to establish L&D priorities and from that execute high-level technical training that will bring meaningful impact to our teams’ performance.
Your team:
This is a highly cross-departmental role, as you will work closely with the Engineering Leads, the People Business Partners, with our People team and in continuous alignment with the L&D Partner.
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Create, manage & execute technical onboarding of engineers, setting them up to success and continuously making improvements for process optimisation
- Collaborate with our teams to define ideal structure, content, and delivery methods to produce high quality training (some examples include Defensive Programming, Dockerisation, SDLC and OWASP training)
- Manage training completion and assess impact on performance, through the use of training effectiveness metrics
- Build strong relationships and work alongside the engineering teams to meet L&D goals and positively impact performance
- Establish knowledge sharing frameworks to enhance collaboration within teams
- Deliver technical training using both asynchronous and cohort-based learning approaches
- Plan and run hackathons, bootcamps and training academies for the various engineering teams

Technical requirements / Previous experience
- Basic knowledge of Java and React
- Previous experience as a trainer, better yet if that was in an application development environment
- Knowledge about Dockerisation, K8S and microservices is desirable, but what really matters is your ability to learn new things and effectively transfer knowledge
