Role & Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Project management

  • Recruit, train, develop and manage Data analyst / BI professionals at Pune office.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding process of the new team members.
  • Performance management of the local team.
  • Identify, in conjunction with the IT department, core (and any ongoing) changes needed to the database structure.
  • Project Management of multiple strategic projects from conceptions to BAU for varied technology platforms.

Vendor management

  • Management of the external vendor (invoice, payments etc)
  • Provide business cases for any investments in any new data systems development and assist in their implementation.

Process & Solution development

  • Ensuring the quality of the data and the robustness of the processes
  • Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization, and communication deliverables.
  • Develop and oversee best practice guidelines for data acquisition.
  • Support the analysis, interpretation, reporting and presentation of data.
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, Mathematics, or related scientific or technical discipline
  • Excellent knowledge of data management and data architecture

  • Good with flow-diagrams, presentation and doc/BRD writing skills.
  • Capability of translating business requirements to technology solutions

  • Operational understanding and technology integration of market data is critical – security ref data, prices, trades, corporate actions, FXs etc.
  • Hands-on project management experience handling multiple projects at a same time at a global scale – preferably in Capital markets, Banking, Finance, Fund Services/Administration etc.
  • Results-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Self-starter able to use own initiative.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage several tasks and shifting priorities concurrently to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for quality
  • Knowledge of the financial sector
  • Enhanced Data Experience
  • Experience in ETL, SSIS, SSRS, SQL, Alteryx, REST APIs, Python data modelling and data visualization.
  • Good understanding of testing phase, software change management, and software release management
  • Experience in data warehouse architecture development and management
  • Proficiency in dimensional Modelling techniques and their applications
  • Experience in functional design of BI and analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of reporting platforms
  • Power BI
  • Tableau
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure is desirable
