In this role, you’ll be responsible for accounting for legal entities in accordance with IFRS/ Australian GAAP. You’ll perform monthly compliance monitoring of legal entities, ensure integrity and completeness of financial records, and be responsible for the preparation and review of the following work:

  • Month end accounting
  • Consolidation of multiple legal entities
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Reporting and analysis for business units

You’ll support statutory, regulatory & management reporting, ensure business unit information provided in Macquarie’s statutory financial statements is accurate, and liaise with auditors (internal & external) and responding to their queries. You’ll manage client relationships and handle first level escalations, proactively seeking client feedback to further improve service level standards, design and generate MIS regularly, highlighting key metrics and continuously innovating to enhance efficiencies and add value, ensuring compliance with finance control standards for the reporting entity and quality in all aspects of the team. You’ll also be responsible for applying a cost conscious approach towards work responsibilities, handled and ensuring that Macquarie’s goals and values are demonstrated in all work the performed.

To be successful in this role you will have a postgraduate accounting qualification, CA or CPA with 2-6 years of relevant post qualification experience, with a strong focus on accounting systems, reporting tools and excellent hands-on Microsoft Excel and PPT. You’ll have strong technical background and experience in managing complex accounting issues.

Experience with, or good knowledge of, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and investment accounting will help you succeed in this role. You
