What You’ll be Doing

Do you have a passion for the supporting and ensuring patient care is delivered with precision and accuracy? In this role, you’ll review and audit recordings of physical examinations, review family, social and past medical history, document procedures, lab results, diagnoses and follow up procedures. You are already a subject matter expert in medical terminology and documentation. We’ll train you to be a specialist in specific documentation processes, so you can be confident in providing the highest level of service possible with 99% accuracy.

During a Typical Day, You’ll

  • Listen to and accurately document anything that happens during the physical examination including but not limited to:
  • Procedures during the examination
  • Family, social and medical history
  • Lab results
  • Diagnoses
  • Follow ups
  • Participate in continuing quality reviews of other Scribe materials for accuracy as a part of ongoing training
  • Allow the provider to communicate any results
  • Utilize medical terminology including less common phrases referencing specializations or medical acronyms
  • Protect patient confidential information according to recognized standards (HIPAA)

What You Bring to the Role

  • Strong written and verbal English and medical terminology skills
  • Ability to accurately review, listen and document pertinent information in audio files into the written word
  • Computer savvy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Medical training with a demonstrated understanding and spelling of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of anatomy, medical tests, common medications, and other medical related procedures
  • 1+ years’ experience working in a related medical field
