Medical Advisor (based at Bangalore Head Office)

Are you an experienced medical professional and passionate about Medical Affairs? Does being part of a growing, yet dynamic environment excite you? Are you adept in implementing the medical affairs strategy in the country? If yes, then you may be the one we are looking for as Medical Advisor for Novo Nordisk India.

The position

  • As a Medical Advisor, you will contribute actively to the implementation of the Medical Affairs strategy in the country.
  • Be a specialist in the therapy area and allotted product/portfolio and also other relevant products
  • Work in collaboration with commercial teams to drive medical education and scientific dialogue for products and therapy area
  • Drive RWE generation activities in close collaboration with affiliate medical colleagues, region and global counterparts.
  • Support clinical operations and regulatory teams in regulatory submissions, presentations and approvals
  • To assist the regulatory personnel in ensuring that all promotional activities and NNIPL products and packaging conform to regulatory laws and directions
  • Liaise with professional associations and KOLs to build and drive scientific advocacy for the product/ TA
  • Identify, propose and drive publication projects (Encore, Review, Secondary analysis, independent author publications) in areas with data gap and in line with the business needs.
  • Facilitate organisational readiness and external scientific advocacy for new product launches in close collaboration with regulatory and commercial teams.


  • MBBS with minimum 2 years of industry medical affairs work experience.
  • MD in Pharmacology from a reputed institution and clinical experience in diabetes management are an additional advantage.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferable with mentioned qualifications as a mandate.
  • You shall have strong scientific knowledge and interest in diabetes diseases and products, good collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as well as good in communication.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in analysing complex situations
  • Skills for planning, execution and follow-up is required, with a creative and innovative attitude that will enable you to drive initiatives with operational excellence in mind

About the department

Novo Nordisk is a Denmark based multinational with leadership in diabetes. Novo Nordisk India affiliate head office is located in Bangalore & has more than 1200 people working across the country in various functions. The Medical Advisor position reports directly to the Senior Medical Manager and will be a key resource personnel in Medico-Marketing activities.
