How You Will Achieve It

  • Contribute to the completion of projects, manage own time on agreed targets, develop plans for own projects and leads small project teams.
  • Monitor, generate and complete the periodic review, validation master plan for the automation engineering program.
  • Demonstrate good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills.
  • Responsible for routine and preventive maintenance work, ensure all the equipment and facilities work safely, efficiently and reliably.
  • Generate and develop standard operating procedures and system support.
  • Analyze operational process problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
  • Manage change control authoring and execution.
  • Provide 24x7x365 support of our automation systems and perform automation activities for capital and non-capital projects.
  • Modify moderately complex to highly complex control logic that requires a degree of scientific and/or manufacturing process expertise.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff and serve as a technical trainer, whenever necessary.
  • Clearly communicate progress and issues to peers.
  • Maintenance of PLCs, DCS, SCADA and various Electronic field instruments and sensors
  • Operation and maintenance of pharmaceutical equipment
  • Building Management Systems and Environmental Management system
  • Troubleshooting of automation related issues
  • Awareness of vendor base for automated systems
  • Primary onsite Subject Matter Expert to the team for controls, instrumentation, operator interface, vision systems and batch manufacturing system
  • Co-ordinate in Design, engineering and technology selection (related to automation)
  • Generation and revision of specifications (URS)
  • Programming of automated systems
  • Prepare engineering drawings
  • Create, update and review Automation Life Cycle documents
  • Coordinate with CFTs for URS/DQ/IQ/OQ and PQ of all relevant equipment
  • New equipment installation support (related to automation)
  • Provide onsite support in start-up and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades to existing equipment on aspects related to automation
  • Supports or leads new equipment initiatives by applying existing controls and instrumentation solutions
  • Initiate change controls for automated aspects and procedures.
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Identify, implement and execute preventative maintenance of equipment
  • Ensure controls and instrumentation maintenance activities conform to GxP’s, SOP’s, OSHA, and environmental requirements
  • Ensure that all applied technologies are practical, operator friendly, and reliable
  • Should act with Integrity in each and every activity
  • Should raise concerns and encourage colleagues to report Integrity issues
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements initiatives
  • Ensures that supporting GMP relevant documentation (SOPs, SOIs) is generated and maintained.
  • Preparation and Review of respective Documents / Procedures.
  • Trend the breakdowns /concerns of the equipment and implement corrective actions to improve the reliability of the equipment.
  • Effective communication with original equipment manufacturer to address / resolve the repetitive issues.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience in Electrical/Electroncis/Instrumentation/Automation/Computers Engineering
  • Experience with writing software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents
  • Experience on Automation Compliance projects
  • Familiar with process controls equipment
  • Strong knowledge of Computerized Systems, Compliance regulations and standards
  • Teamwork spirit, good communication skills and training abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills {written and oral}

Nice-to-Have

  • Master’s degree
  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Understanding of programming, and proficiency in at least one language
