Business Function: The Finance Technology team creates solutions for Global Finance and Corporate Treasury areas under the Office of the Chief Financial Office (OCFO). We have a global footprint, with over 1,000 technologists in: North America, South America, Asia Pacific and Europe solving complex business requirements for the firmwide controllers. The Firmwide Controllers organization ensures the overall integrity and validity of financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle. They perform critical reporting and controls functions for the organization, including legal entity, financial, and regulatory, and product valuation.We are looking for technologists who value creativity, innovation, teamwork, and who have an exceptional drive to make a difference to JP Morgan and beyond. Our engineering teams must focus on building highly performant, resilient & scalable software using latest cloud and big data technologies as well as modern automation practices. Role: You will be part of a team to design and implement the next generation buildout of a cloud native liquidity risk (LRI) management platform for JPMC. The Liquidity risk technology organization aims to provide comprehensive solution to managing the firms liquidity risk and to meet our regulatory reporting obligations across 50+ markets. The program will include strategic the buildout of advanced liquidity calculation engines, incorporate AI and ML into our liquidity risk processes, and bring digital first reporting capabilities. The target platform must processes 40-60 million transactions and positions daily, calculate risk presented by the current actual as well as model-based what-if state of the market, build multidimensional picture of corporate risk profile, and provide ability to analyze it in real time. The target LRI platform will be engineered leveraging Cloud, Big Data, Microservices, Modern UI Technologies, CI/CD Pipelines, Caching, and other next gen technologies
Required Skills:
- 12+ years of hands-on development experience and knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring boot
- Exposure to Cloud, Big Data Eco System such as Scala, Spark, EMR, AWS, Microservices.
- Proficiency in Oracle, PL/SQL and Database development.
- Excellent Engineering skills in designing and implementing scalable solutions
- Good knowledge of CI/CD Pipeline with strong focus on TDD
- Strong communication skills and ownership
- Strong in J2EE & OOPS Design Patterns
- Working with numerous teams across the business and technology to define, build, test and maintain systems that are crucial to the business
- Spending a large percentage of time in driving development, working closely with business / stakeholders to produce high quality code in a test-driven environment
- Helping to identify opportunities for improvement within the existing applications to increase stability and simplify the platform
- Building and maintain strong relationships
- Working with a team of engineers and developers to ensure that the Market Risk platform is engineered to be standardized, optimized, available, reliable, consistent, accessible and secure to support business and technology needs
- Developing framework, metrics and reporting to ensure progress can be measured, evaluated and continually improve
- Providing operational excellence through root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Staying current and informed on emerging technologies and new techniques to refine and improve overall delivery
