About the role:

Security Technical Program Managers (STPMs) play a critical role within Salesforce Security. They lead large-scale, cross-functional security initiatives focused on developing, protecting and maintaining our customers’ trust. STPMs are responsible for seeing programs through from beginning to end, ensuring efficient workflows, driving to measurable results and facilitating through effective communication. They work closely with executives and key company stakeholders to drive critical programs and activities across the company to deliver meaningful business results. In short; the STPM brings together teams, organizes efforts and drives execution to continuously increase our security posture.

Responsibilities:

Partnered with the Data Security and/or Network Security teams at Salesforce, take ownership and accountability of technical project planning and delivery of required functionality for projects as assigned.

Develop trusted relationships with key technology and functional leaders & stakeholders to drive focus on the strategic program objectives and optimize service delivery. This includes supporting and holding resources accountable for their responsibilities within the service ownership program.

Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic), lead and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership.

Lead regular review meetings with key stakeholders. Provide transparent updates, help drive key decisions, pro-actively remove obstacles, identify risks and address key program issues.

Provide regular visibility to program status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis through push status reporting (to all stakeholders, team members, and interested parties).

Ensure data is collected to appropriately assess the level of maturity of the service and inform decision-making for mitigating risks and resolving issues.

Utilize internal tools and agile mindset to create a collaborative environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, and learning; promotes continuous improvement.

Drive for clarity to keep teams moving forward, ensure business objectives are met and each program delivers on its commitments.

Actively manage dependencies across multiple teams, functions, divisions, and stakeholders.

Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent project teams from delivering on project goals.

Develop strong partnerships with functional leaders to drive focus on business objectives. Be a trusted partner for executive management to ensure program success.

Audit completed projects to verify sustained impact and ensure compliance to Information Security policies

Qualifications

5+ years of strong technical program management experience.

2+ years of solution management experience for infrastructure, cloud, or security services

Preferred Project Management Certification (PMP/PMI/Prince2) and Agile Certification (PMI-ACP/SAFe)

Possess an understanding of information security; project management experience in Network Security and Data Security a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong record of complex program management with a record of success in achieving key business outcomes.

Demonstrated use of professional, repeatable methodology for initiation, work breakdown, scheduling, reporting, risk and change management.

Ability to communicate effectively with developers, product managers and senior business leaders.

Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.

High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.

Skilled in risk management. Can perform business and project risk analysis to make complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisions.

Strong written, verbal and data visualization communication and presentation skills with the ability to tailor to a wide range of audiences (from C-level to individual contributor)

Agile/Kanban experience in an infrastructure environment is not required, but an understanding of agile and an ability to think agile is required.
