About this role

  • The purpose of the role is to interact with stakholeders on a regular basis, manage scope of projects from inception to closure. Define, develop and manage implementation schedules and project budgets.
  • Delivering quality digital features and solutions for our customers is at the heart of everything we do. As a Technical Project Manager you will be single point of contact responsible for planning and delivering the changes across board. Provide functional and technical design capability within the Consumer Digital team, ensuring that our Digital solutions are designed to meet both the customer and business needs whilst matching expectations for ROI, quality, reliability and speed to market.

Acting as SPOC you will be that link between supporting our business stakeholders with their vision for our customers and translating that into requirements and innovative solutions that our Digital teams can develop and deliver.

Specifically the role is accountable for:

  • Coordinating resources, prepare project teams for kick-off and ensure effective completion of project milestones, control project scope and mitigate risks.
  • Ensuring project consultants are delivering to configuration, development, and methodology standards.
  • Ensuring delivery processes are efficient and cost effective.
  • Collaborating with business, partners and vendors and develop a cadence to ensure alignment of projects and priorities.
  • Maintaining overall Programme Structure & Governance
  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans while adhering to IT OPS and development teams. Integrated program plan across all parties including ongoing maintenance / updates
  • RAID Management & Status Reporting
  • Managing project entry / exit gates
  • Managing 3rd parties involved in the delivery of the Programme

You’ll have the following responsibilities

  • Use Agile methodologies to maintain a strong focus on delivery priorities, holding others to account for delivery, and swiftly responding to changing requirements.
  • Lead and develop high performing teams, supporting Agile working practices, and a digital delivery culture.
  • Promote resilience and responsiveness in the organisation by being open and honest about challenges, and the actions required to address unexpected developments.
  • Gather and report detailed performance data against key indicators, to generate actionable improvements to the quality of service offered.
  • Act as a ‘change lead’ for Digital Acceleration initiatives and other projects, as and when required.
  • Identify, manage and seek to resolve technical risks and issues against business requirements.
  • Build knowledge, capacity and capability within teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proactively drive innovation, with new ideas and options made available by new technology and process.
  • Keep up-to-date with latest technology, software development technologies and methodologies

You’ll have the following skills & experience

Skills required for the job:

  • Expertise in identifying key business objectives and provide solution recommendations while performing business proves and management consulting analysis.
  • Strong understanding of HR Systems, SAP SF Modules
  • Extensive background in delivering complex HR projects throughout the lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective procedures and systems requirements that meet business requirements.
  • Expert in Project planning and progress monitoring, including budget control and milestone control.
  • Creative problem solver, able to build contingency plans and handle stressful situation with professionalism.
  • Experience in Reporting and Analytics Strategy.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of both SDLC & Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in working with Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence etc.

Experience you would be expected to have :

  • Excellent requirements analysis and design skills
  • Experience of Agile (or agile / waterfall hybrid) development practices and techniques
  • Excellent technical writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Mentoring and people development
  • Good planning and time-management skills
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines in a technical environment
  • Ability to manage changing business and technical requirements in highly dynamic project environments
  • In-depth experience of both high level and detailed business process models
  • Experience of digital business analysis for customer focused digital services such as web, mobile, eCommerce and eBusiness
  • Conflict management and negotiation skills
  • Relationship management of both internal and external customers
  • Experience of working with teams based across multiple time zones
  • Experience in the use of corporate wikis and work collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA
