Frost & Sullivan’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Growth Opportunity Analytics Practice is currently seeking a Research Manager or Research Director Professional (depending on experience). This position will establish Frost & Sullivan as the pre-eminent provider of intelligence in Medical Technologies market, serving the needs of global customers and engage executives prefer through written content, interactive briefings, and other avenues. Responsibilities Program Strategy Responsible for framing program strategy and building incremental revenues through new and existing clients Drive winning programs by producing high quality deliverables on-time and within budgetCreate rock-star status for program managers/top-end team members, which will drive traffic to our company: both clients and employees Recruit and train the right people to become excellent analysts, communicators, and industry evangelists Leadership and participation in strategy towards building and maintaining a strong Healthcare & Life Sciences practice Program Delivery Manage the on-time and high quality delivery of the content plan, leveraging a team of analysts to create a dependable mix of intelligence across all sectors Develop actionable, strategic, insightful, up-to-date market intelligence based on primary and secondary market research on solutions and services that the medical technologies industry sells to the enterprise (provider/payor) and consumer markets. Deep involvement with the analyst team on all aspects of the content development. Becoming personally involved in projects where necessary to mitigate risk Research and monitor selected areas in the Medical Technologies industry, with the goal of leveraging expertise in this market into growth consulting Develop relationships and conduct interviews with industry experts, executives, and end-users for the purpose of gathering primary data and producing written market analyses and competitive intelligence Drive interaction with clients to maximize use of retainer time and to seek/create new business opportunities Deliver on Best Practices production plan Business Development Establishing executive-level relationships with key stakeholders, decision makers Analyzing market dynamics and competition to develop business opportunities for the team. Maintain Key Account List by continuously adding new market entrants to route to sales team Thought leadership Identifying potential ideas to take to clients Structuring compelling value propositions and collaterals Coaching and mentoring of junior team members Frost & Sullivan exposure Presenting at industry conferences Writing articles and other thought leadership deliverables Qualifications Qualifications The successful candidate will have an educational background in business, market research, economics, journalism, or technology with an enthusiastic curiosity about the critical role medical device and digital technologies plays in enabling business around the world. A proactive, methodical, and innovative – thinking outside the box – working practice is essential, with the ability to deliver accurate, high impact results in a fast-paced team-focused environment. Essential A relevant university degree (BA, BS) in arts, science, business administration, marketing, market intelligence, market research, journalism, psychology, sociology, or technology. Minimum 6-8 years of analyst/consulting working experience within a research and/or advisory services business environment. The ability to research and write a coherent story on medical technologies and digital health topics in grammatically correct English is critical. A foundational understanding of consulting/research/investigative journalism methodologies and business modelling (primary/secondary research, linear story development). A foundational understanding of the Healthcare, Digital Health or Medical Technologies industry, such as industry structure, operational practices, business functionalities, and competitive landscapes. Desire, curiosity, and enthusiasm to build your expertise in the healthcare and life sciences domain to become a respected thought leader in the eyes of global vendors. The ability to network to create new vendor relationships and to proactively manage ongoing relationships to stay relevant to healthcare technologies vendors. Enthusiasm for supporting business development initiatives that benefit the entire team. An analytical thought process, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and business level fluency in English. The desire to learn public presentation skills in front of an audience and a video camera. Confidence to present your work to a group of peers or a client and defend your analysis in a calm and professional manner. A team player who views team collaboration as an important path to professional development. Desirable A relevant post graduate qualification (MA, MBA) or equivalent experience, e.g.: Market intelligence, market research analyst, consulting, or journalism focused on business issues, advisory services, and/or consulting. A foundational understanding of key issues in one or more of the following areas: Clinical Care Pathways Healthcare Provider IT Transformation Medical Devices Disruptive Business Models, Hospital Management Solutions Applications of artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud, big data analytics to healthcare industry.
