Summary / Role Purpose
As a Documentation Specialist you will be responsible for developing user collaterals for various Semiconductor BU products at Ansys. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, writing, and editing the technical specifications, application notes and user manuals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• As a documentation specialist you will have the opportunity to work with the world class Development Team and the Product Engineering Team starting from product feature technical specification creation all the way up to its productization.
• You must have the skills and experience to coordinate with all involved parties and produce user guides and training materials.
• You will also be interfacing with the Application Engineering team to collect user feedback from the customers and collaborate with the Product Engineering to improvise the content based on the feedback.
• You will work independently, interacting and collaborating with multi-site teams and you will deliver high quality collaterals by demonstrating strict adherence to the documentation template, style guidelines and other doc-processes followed by the group.
• You will be mentored by senior tech writers with domain expertise and tool knowledge

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• Degree in an engineering, scientific, programming, or technical discipline with 2-5 years of technical writing experience
• Has good understanding/experience with the Technical Publication processes ranging from doc planning/writing/publication of various user documents.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills with great attention to detail.
• You take ownership of projects assigned and drive it with little supervision and deliver quality work first time

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Having experience with Documentation tools such as Oxygen, Adobe FrameMaker and graphic tools would be preferred.
• Having experience in writing technical documentation in Semiconductor domain would be a plus
• Demonstrate consistent record of independent time management, productivity, meeting objectives and deadlines with no supervision
• Demonstrate consistent ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse staff in multiple regions and multiple departments
• Passion for trying the Product hands-on before documenting
