The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Product Owner is a customer advocate for the company’s digital experience. This person will partner with their respective Adobe Product Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to support the execution of product vision, strategy, and roadmaps. Working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content management system (for Sites) and Digital Asset Management System (Assets), including experience with implementation/migration to AEM. The AEM Product Owner leads and represents their owned product in Scrum Ceremonies: defining Sprint Goals, driving grooming sessions, prioritizing the backlog, and writing quality user stories for scrum team(s) to develop against. Finally, this person will thrive in an agile, highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with motivated team members that want to cultivate a better world.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to following policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) Product Management, customers and stakeholders to ensure their needs are backed into the backlog in succinct and plain language.
  • Hosts and facilitates sprint review /demo as well as formulating relevant attendee list for each session.
  • Ensure required artifacts are produced and readily available for PMO memorialization for the purposes of audit and compliance.
  • Represents the team for PO Sync in order to coordinate/communicate shifting priorities.
  • Works with the Release Train Engineer, Product Management, and their Scrum Master to ensure the team is prepared in advance of program level events such as PI Planning, Inspect and Adapt and system or PI demos.
  • Ensures there is enough ‘ready’ backlog to sustain team planning every two weeks.
  • Gather user requirements using standard BA documentation types and processes to develop and propose solutions.
  • Support strategies and features for large-scale projects – including integrations with other systems, migrations to AEM, translation, analytics, marketing automation, asset management etc. to drive towards achieving business KPIs
  • Participate in discovery sessions for new features and projects. Contribute domain knowledge and technical expertise
  • Break down complex, nebulous concepts into clear, actionable User Stories with detailed acceptance criteria outlining key customer use cases and dependencies
  • Responsible for working with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and remove impediments that have implications across the department. Support the Scrum Team as the escalation point and help resolve blockers
  • Take complete ownership of the product backlog and lead grooming sessions as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and define feature priorities
  • Collaborate with Offshore Dev team (Bangalore, India)
  • Set Sprint Goals for the Scrum Team, track deliverable timelines and communicate delivery dates to stakeholders.
  • Lead defects triage and prioritize defects alongside QA team and Dev Team
  • Collaborate with Scrum Master in sprint and release planning
  • Continuous monitoring of product feature performance, “Voice of the Customer” results for their product, and make iterative recommendations
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in team’s functional area. Has the natural curiosity to ask inquisitive questions and uncover additional use cases and dependencies
  • Responsible for assuring a level of quality has been achieved by validating that the Story meets acceptance criteria and has met acceptance tests prior and post-production launch verification

Required

  • Possess a B.A./B.S., or an equivalent in education and experience
  • 5-7+ years of experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content management system (for sites) and digital asset management (assets), including experience with implementation/migration to AEM
  • 3-5+ years of progressive product experience in an Agile environment
  • Skilled at creating high-quality customer/business requirements, and partnering with stakeholders, application developers, UX/UI and vendors through the discovery and development process
  • General understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills (verbal and written) and has the ability to lead through influence
  • Cross-team communication and dependency coordination across Adobe Experience Management suite of tools, customer-facing products integrating with AEM, and internal systems.
  • Extensive experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar product management tools

Preferred

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, A/B Testing, SEO, Product Analytics software tools
  • Functional knowledge of CRM and/or lead management systems (e.g., Saleforce, Eloqua etc.)
