Job Description Employee Name: Designation: Physician Assistant Employee ID: Department: Medical Services Minimum Qualification: BHMS/BAMS Minimum Experience: Fresher to 3 years of relevant experience Job Responsibilities: He/she assists Medical Officers/Registrars/Consultants in various clinical/administrative activities as under. However his/her role would be of an aid to clinical functions, he/she would not work / take clinical decisions or carry out clinical procedures/surgeries independently. History taking, physical examination and formulating plan of care under guidance Accompanying doctors during wards rounds Reviewing daily progress of the patient and appraising to doctors Co-ordinate pre-operative and post-operative work up with consultants Co-ordinate appropriate referrals with consultants of other specialties Follow up on investigation results/reports Inform doctors about any criticality/deterioration of the patient Inform laboratory & radiology results to doctors Assist the doctor in clinical procedures like urinary catheterization, surgical dressing, IV cannulation, Ryle&rsquos tube insertion etc. under guidance of seniors Assist in discharge summary writing & discharge instructions to patient/relatives Communicate relevant clinical information and counselling to patient/relatives And any other jobs assigned by the superiors as per exigencies of work.
