Job description:

• Graduates in life sciences with 3-5 years of experience in Medical Coding and Denial Management
• Experience in Anesthesia & Should be CPC certified and expertise in Anesthesia coding. Ensure CPC certification should not have Apprenticeship. Certification renewal date needs to be verified and should not be expired
• Abstracting and Coding information from provider patient medical records and hospital ancillary records per facility and/or state requirements.
• Assigning appropriate billing codes based on medical documentation using CPT-4 and/or ICD-10 CM coding guidelines.
• Querying client when code in the record is inadequate, ambiguous or unclear for coding purposes.
• Evaluate and interpret the cause of denied/rejected claims and initiate timely refiling in line with payer-specific

guidelines, in order to ensure optimal reimbursement * Review the medical documentation available for different specialties like Pain management, Anesthesia… on the Billing/Document management system and determine the most appropriate CPT-4/ICD 10 CM /Modifiers and make necessary code corrections based on the denial reason prior to refiling

• Perform an in-depth review of the denied/rejected claims for different fields such as patient’s age, gender, Date of service, Place of Service, medical specialty etc. before the selection of appropriate codes while refiling
• Research, recommend, and appeal claims with appropriate explanation in the format required by the respective payers, along with supporting medical records as necessary, especially on cases of medical necessity denials
• Working hours is 10 hours.Ability to work scheduled shifts from Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST and the shift timings can be changed as per client requirements. – Flexibility to accommodate overtime and work on weekend’s basis business requirement. – Ability to communicate (oral/written) effectively in English to exchange information with our client.
• Work from office – As per company norms you should be willing to return to office as and when needed.
