We are looking for an Associate – Medical Coding to join our Medical coding accuracy team within our Technology Enabled Services division. Your job will be to help athenahealth comply with regulations and requirements and to seamlessly deliver Medical Coding service for our clients. But enough about us let’s talk about you. You are a passionate individual, coming with good experience in both ambulatory and in patient setting and active coding certification. You take on new challenges without hesitation and take complete ownership of your work. You are someone that learn from mistakes and immediately adjust the plan accordingly, you can adapt to changing your working style in a fast-paced work environment. The Team: Our Medical coding accuracy team supports the Service Delivery arm of our Technology Enabled Services division. Job Responsibilities Perform Medical coding related responsibilities and ensure seamless assignment codes to diagnoses and procedures, using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes Identify and quantify work trends Accept full ownership and responsibility for special projects Typical Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 5-7 years’ experience in fast paced environment Previous experience in healthcare RCM environment, mandatory CPC or CCS or equivalent Multi-specialty coding knowledge, preferred About athenahealth Here’s ourvision: To create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all.
