You will join a collaborative environment whose teams care about the product they are helping to evangelize and continually empower learners across the globe to effectively implement VMware solutions in their organizations Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing The primary objective of this position is to support VMware Learning customers with their Virtual Datacentre (Labs) used to deliver trainings for a range of VMware products. This includes Labs used for both OnDemand and Instructor Led trainings deliveries. Within 60 days, you will be working with VMware vCloud Director and other VMware Learning platforms used to host and deliver these Labs. Within 90 days, you will be supporting a wide range of OnDemand Labs used by VMware Learning customers to prepare for their VMware Certified Professional or specialist certificates. Within 6-12 months, you will start to support advance OnDemand Labs and technical instructors. You will also work closely with Lab Developers and Infrastructure Administrators to provide a ‘Best-in-Class’ Support experience for our learners. What type of work will you be doing What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis Provide front-line support through Chat/Email to assist learners Assist learners and lab developers with technical issues inside the lab environment Monitor cloud resource consumption and mitigate risks when needed Provide feedback based on customer interactions to assist lab development Work with course developers to improve lab experience for VMware learners Work on VMware vCloud Directorand VMware Learning Platforms(VLP) Work in a flexible 24/7 environment What is the leadership like for this role What is the structure and culture of the team like The hiring manager for this role is Inder G, Manager, VMware Learning. Inder joined VMware in 2015 as tech support engineer with Global Support Services (GSS). Inder became involved with VMware Learning in 2018 as a labs engineer, and moved in to the management role shortly after. Inder manages the team effectively by enabling engineers to expand their knowledge, provide feedback to improve process, and explore new technologies. open and engaging. Inder encourages the team to be forward thinking, bring ideas to the table and run with them. The team currently consists of 8 Labs engineers supporting learners as they work through on demand in instructor led training. The learning labs engineer team is expanding significantly to support growing demand and product offerings!
