What you’ll achieve As a Lab Support Engineering Manager you will be responsible to support Network Operations Center and provide quick incident response and remediation. You will work with engineering to help support production environments and critical infrastructure. Responsible for the scheduling, staffing, supervision and development of employees in assigned area Provides mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback on assigned personnel Work with cross-functional teams, globally, and across cultural boundaries Provides regular business reporting and metrics to management and team members Develops innovative solutions to complex technical, business and process challenges Responsible to support Network Operations Center and provide quick incident response and remediation Apply business impact analysis techniques to evaluate impact of high severity problems and/or potential impact of proposed changes Creates and ensures service and quality standards are met or exceeded Constantly seek clarification and current resolution status and actions plan(s) to ensure accurate and concise communications Work with all Dell teams in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group Manages the activities and leads the personnel associated with providing technical services to internal customers by identifying and prioritizing incident management and request fulfillment Maintain and ensure preventative actions transpire into appropriate backlogs for improvements Maintain a working knowledge of all documented processes and procedures related to application services and infrastructure Monitor and identify patterns and trends based on data from critical components Proactively manage and support critical production environments that include Application lifecycle management tools, infrastructure, and networking components Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Strong technical background across multiple disciplines: networks products and protocols Enterprise Storage and Enterprise servers (Chassis and blades) Disaster Recovery and backups Technical background in DevOps supporting Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools Ability to communicate complex technical information to all stakeholders, including those who do not have a technical background Strong Command, negotiation, problem-solving, influencing and relationship management skills Ability to summarize complex technical incidents to an executive level summary in real-time Ability to work multi-threaded within tight time constraints. Ability to manage multiple high priority efforts/ competing priorities and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities Strong communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in data analytics Desirable Requirements Technical writing skills Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
