Headquartered in Denmark, employs approximately 43,100 people in 79 countries and markets its products in more than 170 countries Role: Global Pricing Manager Location: Bangalore Key Responsibilities 1.Develop and manage a robust business analytics platform (tools and processes) to support: .Price optimization modelling .Reference pricing impact analysis .Business Case reviewing .Tender database input 2.Provide robust pricing & contracting recommendations to senior management. 3.Manages, monitors and optimises prices for in-line products in order to optimise value of portfolio 4.Share insights with the stakeholders as a result of the analyses 5.Complete ownership of the deliverables from end-to-end with a mind-set of ‘continuous improvement’ and share recommendations with the manager 6.Drive pilot projects, track & monitor progress and ensure future stabilisation Ensure superior customer satisfaction by delivering high end quality support to Regional team Main Job Tasks .Develop and manage a robust business analytics platform (tools and processes) to support price optimization modelling, business case reviewing and reference pricing impact analysis. International Price Referencing Model (IP Model) Upload monthly prices and volume projections User support and data management Testing Coordinate with regions and affiliates for reference rules updates Support IRP analysis Business Analysis Reporting Tool (BART) Upload monthly sales and price data AB, MT1 data Exchange rates Maintain masterdata Pricing & Reimbursement Database (PRDB) Maintain masterdata User administration and user support Test of new features Follow-up with affiliates/ regions on pricing updates Check prices for NN products and competitors SAP BW dedicated queries & reports Global Reimbursement Tracker User administration and user support Maintain masterdata Drive future developments and test new features Price Approval Tracker (PAT) User administration and user support Maintain masterdata IO Tender Management Tool Align with region IO, business areas, affiliates Monitor prices for in-line products in order to optimise value of portfolio. Main reports: Price Monitor Investor Relations Pricing Insights Top 15- Strategic brands List price tracking ARP tracking PAT monthly cases overview New- Competitor pricing .Develops/improves/maintains processes and templates as well as systems for sourcing and analysing pricing insights in Novo Nordisk and use those to recommend actionable processes to support timely, targeted, and optimised price decision making – Price Monitor, Pricing Insights .Develop ad-hoc pricing input for senior management Supports Pricing Tools & Processes training for Regions, Business Areas and Affiliates. (Create/ update user guides and provide direct support) Qualifications We are expecting you to hold the below skills and knowledge: .Master’s Degree (preferably within quantitative/management discipline) from a well-recognized institute – Master of Business Administration, MSc. International Management, master’s in health economics or similar .Under-graduate degree in Pharma (BPharm), Science/Biotechnology (BSc), Engineering (BTech) .Good academic track records and grades .2+ years of relevant experience in Pharma industry. At least 1 year of experience in a Global or Regional Pharma Pricing function or 2 years of experience from a Business Area or affiliate Pricing & Reimbursement function. Consulting experience would be a plus. .Ability to collaborate and communicate with different stakeholders, primarily with customers, vendors, consultants and project teams. Consulting experience a plus .Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in analysing complex situations, collecting data, effectively synthesizing the analytics/data to form a complete, cohesive picture .Skilled communicator, ability to provide strategic insight, result driven, international experience, intercultural empathy, excellent analytical skills, embracing change. .Strong project management skills .Fluency in written and spoken English .Advanced general IT skills .Technical skills – Must have: Expert in Excel, Access and PowerPoint 2010. Proficiency in Advanced Excel, VBA & PowerPoint. VBA skills desirable to automate some of the existing reports. Preferred: Previous experience in Business Explorer (SAP Business Warehouse or Business Objects) Plus: Experience in leveraging other IMS databases .Healthcare Policy and System Insight – Demonstrates a robust understanding of payer and policy-maker landscapes and trends, locally as well as regionally across Affiliates. Applies this knowledge to shape projects and strategies to drive market access .Payer Management Expertise (Pricing) – Understands specific price setting mechanisms in key markets. Demonstrates knowledge of drivers for price and access for payer stakeholders. Is able to identify and address price and access opportunities and challenges by product and portfolio level in key markets and segments. .Pricing & Contracting (Pricing) – Employs specific tools (pricing and contracting, price optimization models, etc.) to generate and analyze pricing and reimbursement insight. Leverages generated insight into actionable pricing and reimbursement strategies in order to ensure profitable access .Payer Negotiations expertise (Pricing) – Knows the payer archetypes and can action those to optimise the negotiation strategy. Knows and understands the skills and competencies required for successful payer negotiations. Develops actionable payer negotiation strategies and tactical plans.
