Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develops thought leadership that raises Cadent’s profile within the industry Provides thought partnership to clients, ensuring a robust agency point-of-view grounded in sound marketing and medical affairs principles Provides strategic insight and guidance across the team in support of client assignments across promotional medical education, medical affairs, and publications Client Engagement Proactively engages clients as a senior executive to establish strong relationships and ensure satisfaction Works to solidify new wins and set the stage for organic growth Offers hands-on support in designing and delivering insight initiatives, as well as innovative live or virtual workshops to support strategic planning on behalf of our clients Operational Oversight and Team Engagement Sets the tone and vision for the scientific services department in line with Cadent and Syneos Health strategic priorities Provides matrixed leadership for our global medical writing and research capability located in India Ensures high staff retention rates through initiatives that engage the team and encourage professional development/career growth Engages productively across disciplines (digital strategy, editorial, account services, speaker bureau, meetings and events) as part of the Cadent Executive Leadership Team, driving positive business results, team dynamics, and delivery Syneos Health Integration Acts as an ambassador for the Cadent team across Syneos Health Establishes a strong internal brand as a collaborative colleague, building deep internal relationships to support client collaborations and integrated business Job Requirements Advanced degree in a biomedical field, doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD) preferred 10+ years’ experience in the medical communications industry executive leadership experience highly preferred Demonstrated ability to form strong client and industry relationships Expertise across all aspects of medical communications, including promotional medical education, medical affairs, and publications Understanding of marketing principles and their application to medical communications Strong storytelling ability that may be leveraged for training, new business, and client assignments Deep experience with business/brand planning and tactic development Demonstrated ability to engage and lead large teams (50+) and work productively in matrixed, integrated settings Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Broad therapeutic category experience a plus, though gastroenterology, immunology, oncology, neuroscience preferred Excellent computer skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel I understand that if I am made an offer of employment, it will be conditioned on my demonstration I am fullyvaccinated OR I plan to initiate vaccination by my start date AND be fully vaccinated within 4 weeks of start dateagainst the COVID-19 virus.
