Position Summary

To lead a team of technical engineers ensuring adherence to industry best practices while managing delivery deadlines and high code quality standards.

Experience

8+ years of overall IT experience, 2+ years of Engineering lead experience

Roles & Responsibilities

Must Have

  • Technical proficiency and hands on attitude to ensure there are no technical roadblocks for the team.
  • Experience in working on .NET application in the modern tech stack (using react front end, and cloud databases)
  • Experience in working on building RESTful APIs and managing them
  • Experience in cloud technologies (Azure is preferred; AWS is can also be considered)
  • Monitoring, measuring, reviewing, and updating project progress.
  • Policing SCRUM process and enforce agile principles wherever missing.
  • Deep understanding of project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps etc.
  • Creating DevOps pipelines to manage deployment of code to various environments (i.e., Dev/QA/UAT/Production)
  • Assisting in production releases with predictability and confidence.
  • Deep understanding of TDD and integration of unit tests with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of coding best practices such as coding standards, version control, QA and Release Management.
  • Deep understanding of advanced concepts like design patterns e.g., dependency injection, SOA etc
  • Assisting HR in recruitment activity (reviewing JD and interviewing candidates)
  • Maintaining healthy team sprint velocity and team productivity.
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good team player
  • Can take effective independent decisions

Should Have

  • Keenness to learn newer technologies that help achieve team goals
  • Identify team member weaknesses and create an improvement plan
  • Maintaining a contingency pool of team members to ensure delivery continuity
  • Good sense of prioritization and time management
  • Effective process management and process design
  • Effective team core skill valuation and upscaling

Could Have

  • Certification in Microsoft .Net or other Microsoft related technologies.
  • CSM certification (SCRUM Master)
  • Angular JS
  • Good understanding of CI/CD.
  • Understanding of Azure Managed Services.
  • Understanding of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Chef, Puppet etc.
  • Understanding of .Net core and Azure SQL-as-a-service.
  • Understanding of testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress etc.
