Role AGM Fiber Ops and Planning Job Level/ Designation M2 Function / Department Technology – Fiber Ops and Planning – VITIL Location Pune Job Purpose Responsible for fiber operations and planning for the circle Key Result Areas/Accountabilities Cluster specific Capex analysis and Planning of Fiber budgeting in line with new technology rollout, capacity expansion, ofc pop relocation & consolidation to carry required Spectrum Bandwidth. Planning of Fiber requirements for short term and long term P1/P2 outages as a remedy Site dependency analysis for each specific Fiber route ASK & provide all relevant inputs for Capex justification & capex release Coordination with cross functional teams for OFC survey, Infra feasibility & documentation. Support to MW Planning team for Consolidation and Architecture. Physical Audit of the OFC network. Sharing of Punch points and field observations. Support to Operations team by Planning R-Capex & subsequent Approvals Coordination with commercial, Project, Finance for Timely release of Purchase order Coordinate for Fiber/ Pop roll-out within timelines, track Fiber Capex utilization from PR till Lit-up/ Traffic migration & GRN Cluster Level Governance for Handover-Take over IRU and support special Projects for Enterprise/BSNL/BBNL/New IP1 vendor etc. Exploring & Increasing Fiber Asset sharing /monetization with other Opco’s/IP-1 to optimize cost, exploring new sharing models like Government agencies, local ISP’s etc And sharing monthly Fiber foorprint with CODE fiber team for competitative analysis. Monthly Reporting fiberised BTS & sites count To TERM. Support to rollout Small Cell, MIMO etc Monthly Fiber foorprint sharing with CODE fiber team for competitative analysis Analysis of fiber outages P1/P2 outages in daily basis, Technical solution on site/WAN link rerouting on stable fiber path. Analysis of New fiber path availibility Analysis on Site rehoming to nearest BSC/RNC/ Router location to avoid the long distance travelling on fiber Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience 10-15 Years of Experience in Fiber Domain (Telecom/IT/OEM ) with 5-7 experience in handling Large Scale Telecom Network Domain BE in Electronics & Telecommunication/IT. Fiber Planning, Fiber operatiosn and Projetcs, Transport Planning and understanding of all Transport layer DWDM/CDWDM/MDWDM, OTN, ICD & Access layer, Testing & Audit of New link H/O. MW planning, OTDR, LSPM, Eth Tester etc. Vendor Management, Project management and Internal Vertical and external managemnet skills Google Earth, GIS, Mapinfo Must have technical / professional qualifications BE in Electronics & Telecommunication/IT.
