This role will be aligned with ZS R&D Excellence Practice Area supporting our Technology and Platform services across multiple clients. ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL – R&D TECHNOLOGY The Associate Principalwilltake ownership of one or more client engagements at a cross-office level encompassing the areas of business intelligence, analytics, information management, reporting and mobility provide thought leadership in developing the firm’s services and offerings in the R&D space and add leverage to the overall leadership span for the aforementioned group in India. The person in this role will be responsible for growing the R&D capabilities by developing and managing the existing client relationships and also aid in generating new business engagements. This person will need to fully understand the company and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients by developing solutions and offerings relevant to that client base. The successful candidate will work closely with ZS leadership grow the practice by expanding client and customer relationships and building trusted advisory relationships with executives at the company’s various accounts. Responsibilities: Build and maintain key client relationships Play an active role in defining and managing account business planning for key clients in R&D space Lead large scale client delivery engagements in the R&D space while maintain high Quality standards defined at ZS Leverage knowledge of Life Sciences R&D organizations, data & systems, business processes & stakeholder types to aid analyses & recommendations for solution offerings in clinical development Serve as a liaison between client teams and the R&D practice team for technology platform opportunities and for exporting/importing ideas between the two Advise on clinical business process enhancements based on experience/best practices, business knowledge, and gaps in current vs. future state Active involvement in pre-sales opportunities, building new assets and platforms that will support ZS strategic growth Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the ZS’s business. Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment Play an active role in counseling and mentoring juniors within the organization Demonstrate deep life sciences industry sector knowledge with a functional expertise in sales and marketing operations Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge Possess in depth R&D business understanding in Lifesciences industry Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge Play an active role at the India leadership level supporting new India based initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s/master’s degree with specialization in Computer or IT, BCA or other computer related disciplines 17+ years’ of relevant consulting-industry experience working on medium-large scale technology solution delivery engagements Sound knowledge of clinical data standards: CDASH, SDTM, ADaM, OMOP, BRIDG, FHIR, HL7 Implementation experience for multiple Clinical Development technology solutions Strong clinical data programming experience in SAS, SQL, R, Python, JREview, Spotfire Deep Knowledge (Industry thought leadership) in Future of trials and role of Clinical Systems Expert level experience working with ClinOps systems & data including EDC, CTMS, IVR, eTMF etc. Experience with Clinical Operation Analytics (RBM, Site Performance, Data Management etc.) Experience working with Patient data & systems EDC, ePRO, Lab, CDMS, etc. 10+ years of experience in Life Sciences R&D industry having worked on multiple projects related to strategy consulting, clinical data management & analytics, and/or R&D systems & tools implementation Demonstrated experience with driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the ‘C’ level of Pharmaceutical companies Expertise in managing large transformational programs in R&D space. Expertise in leading selling process by writing proposals and giving product demos Significant supervisory, coaching and hands-on project management skills Strong credentials and demonstrated success in IT strategy and Enterprise Architecture Characteristics of a forward thinker and self-starter that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new knowledge Ability to lead a virtual team of consulting professionals across multiple projects A high level of motivation and self-starting attitude Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills A strong work ethic A willingness to travel to meet client needs.
