The Application Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for supporting Direct Clients for providing operators training for defined product lines, product or assay troubleshooting, advance training. Engage clients in scientific activities and help marketing and sales for new product promotions. Ready to travels across an assigned territory to manage accounts and provide the prompt application support to clients.

This position is part of the Application Function located in Hyderabad and will be Hybrid. You will be a part of the Application Team and report to the Regional Application Manager responsible for scientific Support, Client Management, Revenue generation and cross function team coordination. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Scientific Capabilities

  • Familiar and able to discuss on the basic clinical significance of the assays and can understand
  • QA/audit reports.
  • Assist new and current customers with assay validation processes and troubleshooting
  • techniques
  • Provide field based technical support
  • Work with Marketing/ Product team to participate actively in conducting Education Programs.
  • Engaging customer for scientific studies or paper/poster publications.

Client Management * This position will be instrumental in providing a high level of support, requiring close interaction

  • with the customer and colleagues to maintain a quality service
  • Handle common problems independently, give customer feedback on progress of the problem or
  • the solution to the problem.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships in area of accountability
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all paperwork and reports
  • Carry out tasks that are reasonably requested.
  • Perform in-house and onsite product training, ensuring that customers are provided with training
  • appropriate to the use of the instrumentation and software solutions
  • Installation and commissioning of solutions ensuring that the performance of the
  • equipment meets technical specifications and customer expectations.

Revenue Generation

  • Adhere to customer focused strategies to achieve business objectives and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Menu expansion through scientific engagement/approach with clients and align with revenue goal.
  • Teamwork
  • Reporting to the Applications Support Manager, the Applications Specialist provides onsite customer support and is the face of the company to our customers.
  • Team player and collaborate across the functions to develop personal skills through knowledge sharing and learning from others.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Qualification: Master’s in science, BSc degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with 5 years’ experience within a hospital or in a Lab.
  • 5+ years of experience in handling clinical Laboratory equipment’s. IVD market knowledge for the purpose of understanding market forces impacting the business.
  • Effective customer consultative skills which include excellent scientific knowledge and analysis.
  • A keen interest in technology along with a high level of self-motivation and excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have good knowledge of computer hardware and software, including MS Office.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledge of laboratory workflow and information systems.
  • Must be able to travel across South India. Requires flexibility in working hours
  • Good English skills in speaking, reading, and writing
